After a peaceful spell in Skardu, proceed to Askole. This tiny place serves as the entrance to the wild beauty of Karakoram. Brace yourself for a spine-tingling jeep adventure that takes about seven hours and spans roughly 128 kilometers. Once you reach Askole, gear up for a camping escapade!
Start a picturesque journey from Askole to Jhola (3185m) after resting for a night. Enjoy a peaceful climb, gaining 385m to reach Jhola, whilst traversing the Baifo Glacier.
Travel upwards to Paiyu, hitting a peak of 3383m. This spot will be our home for the following two days. Contrary to what you may have heard, it's a quiet area with suitable campsites.
Pause for a day in Paiyu. Observe the golden sun rising at the top. It's nature showing her beauty. Once done, move on to Urdukas.
In our journey up to Urdukas, which is 4130m high, we get to see the beauty of Paiyu Peak and Trango. This climb is tough though, as we need to go up about 750m from Paiyu!
Take a trip to Gora II, it's a bit easier climb of 120m from Urdukas. See for yourself, Concordia's beautiful heart filled with ice.
Take a journey to Concordia. Enjoy clear, sweeping sights of Masherbrum, Gasherbrum, K2, Chogolisa, and Broad Peak. Then, prepare to camp overnight.
Continue your trip to Gasherbrum Base Camp. Enjoy the sights of Gasherbrum when you get there. After a hike of six hours, take a good night's rest.
Finish up the last bits for the meeting. This includes guidance from an experienced person. Also, let's take a moment to remember those who didn't make it during this climb.
Start your ascent, making your way through camps 1, 2, and 3 before peaking. With favorable weather, you'll get to the top (8,035m) as expected. Get ready to descend. Check the weather first. After, relax at Base Camp and make plans for an easier trek at a lower elevation.
