Singu Chuli Peak Expedition

The heart of Annapurna Range

5 Reviews

Trip Overview

Singu Chuli Peak (6501 m), also known as the Fluted Peak, stands proudly as one of the highest and most challenging trekking peaks within the Annapurna massif, positioned to the west of Gangapurna. It forms part of the Ridgeline that commences from Tarke Kang and extends south to Tharpu Chuli (Tent Peak).

First conquered by Wilfrid Noyce and David Cox in 1957, Singu Chuli Peak demands climbers to navigate icy and rocky terrains along a snowy ridge to reach the summit. While the final climb is highly technical, the sense of accomplishment upon reaching the summit is beyond words. The panoramic views from the top encompass the Annapurna massif, Dhaulagiri range, Chulu range, Lamjung Himal, and numerous towering peaks in the backdrop.

The trekking route aligns with the Annapurna Base Camp Trek until diverging toward the Tent Peak Base Camp, leading further to the Singu Chuli Base Camp. En route, trekkers traverse picturesque villages showcasing diverse cultures, terraced farmlands, dense forests, high waterfalls, and deep gorges, all while enjoying captivating views of the snow-capped mountain ranges.

Climbing Singu Chuli Peak requires prior alpine and ice climbing experience, making it suitable for those well-acquainted with high-altitude mountaineering and the use of climbing gear.

The optimal seasons for Singu Chuli Peak Climbing are Spring and Autumn, offering favorable weather conditions with clear, blue skies and minimal chances of rain and snowfall. Nature blossoms in full splendor during these seasons, providing a refreshing and invigorating experience.
