Trip Overview

Embark on an unforgettable journey with Taktok Brothers as we present the Mardi Himal Trek—a harmonious blend of adventure, excitement, and tranquility, specially crafted for those with tight schedules. Situated to the east of the renowned Annapurna Base Camp Trekking trail, the Mardi Himal Trek offers a beautiful opportunity to immerse yourself in nature—serene, unspoiled, and captivating.

Opened to tourists in 2012, the Mardi Himal Trek has swiftly become a highly sought-after trekking trail. Its appeal lies in its short duration and the absence of demanding trekking experience. This mesmerizing off-the-beaten-path adventure guides you through lush green forests of Rhododendron, Pine, Firs, and Deodars, allowing you to experience the warmth of Rai, Limbu, and Gurung villages. The picturesque villages not only captivate with their beauty but also provide a glimpse into the daily life, culture, and traditions of the locals.

The trail winds just beneath Mt. Machhapuchhre, revealing splendid views of the Himalayas and breathtaking landscapes. Nilgiri, Machhapuchhre, Tent Peak, and the Annapurna massif play hide and seek in the backdrop throughout the journey. The diverse ecosystem, dense forests, cascading waterfalls, and the irresistible beauty of the Himalayas make this trek truly exceptional. However, the ultimate highlight is the glorious sunrise from the Mardi Himal Base Camp, also known as the Upper Viewpoint.

The best seasons to embark on the Mardi Himal Trek are Spring (April, May, June) and Autumn (September, October, November). While Winter brings cold temperatures and snow-covered paths, posing walking challenges, the monsoon season sees rivers swell and landslides occur. Yet, the sceneries post-rain are nothing short of magnificent and mesmerizing.

If you crave an adventure in the untouched realms near the Himalayas, have limited time, and are mindful of your budget, the Mardi Himal Trek awaits. Let Taktok Brothers organize a thrilling and adventurous trip for you—one that promises an awe-inspiring experience.
