Embark on the adventure of a lifetime with Taktok Brothers as we present the Everest Expedition, a journey that beckons every adventurer’s dream – to conquer the world’s highest peak, Mt. Everest. Standing tall in the Himalayas on the Nepal-China border, Everest, or Sagarmatha in Nepali, rises to an astounding altitude of 8848.86m. The southern face graces Nepal, while the northern face looms in Tibet. Named after Sir George Everest, a Welsh Surveyor, the mountain has a rich history, with the first survey by China in 1715 and subsequent measurements by the British Indian government in 1856.
Everest’s allure has captivated mountaineers since the 1920s, witnessing various attempts and triumphs. The first ascent was achieved by Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay in 1953, opening the door to around 1000 annual ascent attempts. Despite its majestic appeal, Everest Expedition poses challenges like high altitude, harsh weather, and avalanches. Adequate preparation and training are imperative, focusing on cardiovascular and muscular strength, acclimatization, and rescue techniques.
Taktok Brothers’ Everest Expedition commences in early April from Kathmandu, following the southern route. The journey includes preparation days, equipment checks, and paperwork in Kathmandu, followed by a flight to Lukla. The trek from Lukla to the base camp spans seven days, offering a gradual ascent. Beyond Camp I (6,065m), where the Khumbu glacier unfolds, the route progresses to Camp II (6,750m) and Camp III (7,300m) on the head of Lhotse. Oxygen support becomes crucial from Camp III onwards. Camp IV (7,910m), known as the Death Zone, marks a significant milestone.
Lobuche Peak, situated in the Khumbu region, serves as an acclimatization climb before the Everest ascent. With two peaks, Lobuche East (6119m) and Lobuche West (6145m), it provides panoramic views, including Mount Everest. The climb is ideal in spring or autumn for stable weather conditions.
Throughout the expedition, our Airbus and Heli Everest support ensure a constant supply of fresh produce and standby for safety needs. At Taktok Brothers, we eagerly anticipate offering our expertise and services, ensuring a memorable Everest Expedition for all.
