Trip Overview

Explore an awe-inspiring odyssey through the hidden gems of the Dhaulagiri Circuit, complemented by the exhilarating ascent of Dhampus Peak, also known as the captivating “Thapa Peak.” Nestled in the heart of the Myagdi district within Nepal’s northern-central Gandaki Province, this expedition guarantees a unique adventure.

Dhampus Peak, cradled amid the grandeur of the Dhaulagiri Massif, unveils mesmerizing panoramas of Hiunchuli Peak (6,441m), Tukuche Peak (6,920m), Tilicho Peak (7,134m), the Annapurna Range (8,091m), and the towering Mt. Dhaulagiri (8,161m), the world’s seventh-highest peak. Beyond its summit, more than thirty peaks paint the skyline, making it a haven for global mountain enthusiasts.

This journey offers not just a moderate mountaineering experience but a tapestry of diverse vegetation, enchanting landscapes, ancient cultural and religious sites, and encounters with vibrant ethnic communities.

While the ascent to Dhampus Peak is graded as moderate, navigating the challenging Dhaulagiri Region demands robust fitness for higher altitudes. Beyond the physical exertion, the trek assures not only breathtaking views but also an opportunity to acclimatize and relish the profound beauty of the Himalayan journey.

Best Seasons to Explore Dhampus: Immerse yourself in the splendor of Dhampus during the Autumn (October-November) and Spring (March-May) seasons, when the weather graciously unveils clear skies and mild conditions, setting the stage for an unforgettable escapade.
